Privacy at IMDDC
This policy applies to student registration and account information, academic records, examination information, learning activity and information submitted by students, parents/guardians, teachers or affiliated institutions.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the service, information may include student name, date of birth or age-related information, contact details, parent or guardian contact details where applicable, student or registration ID, programme, grade, affiliated institution, examination details, academic results and information needed to provide learner support.
2. Learning and Examination Information
IMDDC may process information connected with enrolment, grade progression, examination registration, hall tickets, theory or practical assessment, marks, evaluator comments, results, certificates and related academic administration.
3. Practical Examination Submissions
Where an examination requires a practical video or other digital submission, the submitted material may be processed for examination, evaluation, verification, academic administration and related quality or record-keeping purposes.
4. How We Use Student Information
Student information may be used to create and manage accounts, deliver learning resources, administer examinations, evaluate academic performance, issue results or certificates, communicate important academic information, provide support, maintain records and improve IMDDC services.
5. Parents, Guardians and Institutions
For younger learners, information may be supplied or managed by a parent, guardian, teacher or affiliated institution. Such representatives should provide information only where they are authorised to do so and should help the learner use IMDDC services appropriately.
6. Sharing of Information
Student information is not intended to be sold. It may be accessed by authorised IMDDC personnel and authorised examiners, evaluators, affiliated institutions or service providers where necessary to deliver the relevant service. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or for security and protection purposes.
7. Account and Login Security
Students are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and should notify IMDDC if they suspect unauthorised access. IMDDC will not ask users to disclose passwords through an unsolicited public enquiry.
8. Data Security
IMDDC applies reasonable security measures intended to protect student information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should avoid submitting passwords, payment card details or other unnecessary confidential credentials through public enquiry forms.
9. Retention of Student Records
Student and examination records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for academic progression, certification, verification, institutional administration, dispute resolution, security, legal obligations or legitimate record-keeping requirements.
10. Student Privacy Requests
Students or, where appropriate, their authorised parent or guardian may contact IMDDC regarding questions, corrections or privacy requests. IMDDC may need to verify identity or authority before acting on a request.
11. Policy Updates
IMDDC may update this policy when its student services, examination processes or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
